Channa Pulav is a tasty rice recipe that makes an excelent alternative to regular biriyani.Shallots makes an excellent combination with Channa and gives out an unique aroma.

Basmathi rice --1 1/2 cups
Dry Channa -- 1 cup(Soak the channa overnight and pressure cook for 3 whistle with salt)

Method
- Soak the rice for 10 min and fry them with a tsp of ghee .
- Add oil in a pan, when hot add cloves cinnamon, cardamon and bay leaves .
- Add chopped small Onions ,garlic , green chili and grounded paste 1 stir until raw smell disappear.
- Add tomato paste and allow to boil.
- Add salt, methi leaves sugar and garam masala alond with channa cook for a while .
- Add basathi rice and pressure cook for flavorful recipe.( rice water ratio 1 : 11/2)
- Serve hot with Raita.
