Tofu Machurian /Tofu Fry

Tofu is a wonderful source of protein that made me to make this dish . Do u want a healthy appetizer for kids????Try this....


Serving for 4 

Ingredients

Extra firm Tofu  -- 1 packet
Big Onion --   1 cup
Corn flour --  3 tsp
Red chili   -- 1/2 tsp
Corrinder powder --1/2 tsp
Cumin powder --   1/2 tsp
Tumeric  -- a pinch
Ketchup   -- 3 tsp
Chili Sauce --1 tsp
Soy sauce  --1 tsp
Bread crums
Oil
Salt
Coriander leaves

Method
  • Drain the water in the tofu and dry it   with paper towel and a cloth.(place the cloth and the paper towels then tofu)
  • Cut into cubes and fry it dry in anon stick pan until golden brown in all sides.
  • Mix the cubes with corn flour ,salt, turmeric, red chili, cumin, corrinder powders, bread crums with liitle oil to coat them and leave the marinate for a while.
  • Ina hot oil fry them in a low hit until golden brown.
  • In a pan add onion to oil with capsicum and other veg( optional) and saute and add tofu and  chili sauce, ketchup, soy sauce.
  •  Serve  hot.

Yellow curry tofu Noodles Indian style


Yellow curry Tofu noodles is my yummy and a tasty dish that came out of my experiment in my test kitchen.you wont believe its so  delicious and addicting taste try it out fot sure. Make this as a base and substitute with pasta and try.


Serving for 4

Ingredients

Chinese noodles --  3 buddle
Vegetables --  Cut (Carrot, Beans, Cauliflower, Capsicum tricolors, peas ,babycorn                   bambo shot of your choice)
Extra firm tofu -- 1 box
Onion  --  1 cup 
Crushed garlic -- 4 nos
Turmeric -- 1/2 tsp
Green chili --   7(4  to saute and 4 to grind)
Small onion --3nos
Toor dal  -- 1 tsp
Fennel seeds -- 2 tsp(1 grind= 1 seasoning)
Seseme seeds --1 tsp
Soy sauce -- 3 tsp
Ketch up -- 4 tsp
Coconut -- 3 tsp shredded
Coconut oil  --3 tsp
Oil  --5 tsp
Salt
Olive Oil 


To Grind


Coconut shredded
Small onion
Fennel seeds (sombhu)
Green chili 
Toordal


To fry


Strain all the water in the tofu by using a strainer and palcing a heavy object on top
Cube them into square pieces.
Fry them in a hot oil until golden brown.


 Method

  • On a hot pan add oil , seseme seeds, fennel seeds ,Onion, garlic  tofu and cut vegetables with salt and fry on high flame until veg are cooked  . 
  •  Add all the sauces  and grounded paste with turmeric  and fry until tastes blend
  • Add cooked noodles.( cook the noodles in a boiling water with salt and oil for few min, when noodle is cooked strain the noodles )
  • Mix well with sauce and serve in coriander on top.( Can add pepper and basil on top)

Fried Rice

Fried Rice is a healthy food for childern as it  treats eyes and taste buds.This  Indo chinese recipe  is definitely a crowd pleasing recipe.


Serving for 4

Ingredients

Thinly slice all the Vegetables
Basmathi Rice           2 cups


Carrot  1 no
Beans 15 no
Cabbage(optional) 1 cup
Peas 1 cup
Capsicum(all colour) 1 each
Baby corn
Cauliflower
10nos
 10 florel
Green chili 8 no
Ketch up 2 tsp
Soy sauce 2 tsp
Chili paste ½ tsp
Clintro few
Green onion             (chopped) 4 nos
Black pepper (crushed) 2 tsp
Crushed garlic 1
Seseme seeds 1 tsp
Oil
Salt
 Method

  • On a hot pan add oil,  seseme seeds,spring  Onionroots, garlic ,  and cut vegetables with salt and fry on high flame until veg are cooked  . 
  • Cooked Carrots Beans, peas, cauliflower first and then add rest of the vegetables.(they cook at different temp)
  •  Add all the sauces    and fry until tastes blend
  • Add cooked rice .( cook the Basmathi Rice with water in ( 1: 11/2 ratio) in rice cooker with little salt)
  • Add Pepper and cut green onion and mix well
  • Serve hot

Chilly Idly/ Idly Manchurian

Chilly Idly is  my favorite dish. I got the best review from my husband . If u are a south indian taste lover but need a punch of chinese flavour try this recipe.
Serving for 2

Ingredients
Idily   -- 4 no 
Big Onion  -- 1 cup
Vegetables  -- capsicum all colours ( can use carrot as well)
Tumeric           a pinch
Ketchup           3 tsp
Chili Sauce       1 tsp
Soy sauce         1 tsp
Oil
Salt
Coriander leaves

Method
  • Refrigerate the cooked  idly for 2 to 3 hrs until hard.
  • Cube the idlies and keep aside,   in a hot oil fry the idly  in a low heat until golden brown.
  • In a pan add onion to oil with capsicum and other veg( optional)  with little salt (add little salt as idly contains salt).
  • Saute the mixture and add idlies along with chili sauce, ketchup, soy sauce.
  • Mix well and  serve  hot.

Masala Chinese Noodles.

Masala Chinese Noodle is my version of Chinese noodle with an hint of indian flavor.


Serving for 4

Ingredients

Chinese noodles     3 buddle
Vegetables           Cut (Carrot, Beans, Cauliflower, Capsicum tricolors, peas ,babycorn                                 bambo shot)
Onion                      1 cup 
Chopped tomato     1 cup 
Pepper powder       1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp 
Green chili              3 nos
Chilli  paste            1 tsp
Ketch up                1 tsp 
Soysauce                 2 tsp
Jeera                      1 tsp
Chicken masala       a pinch
Curry leaves           few
Turmeric                 A pinch
Basil(optional)
Salt
Olive Oil 
 Method

  • On a hot pan add oil ,jeera Onion, gingergarlic paste, tomato, curry leaves and cut vegetables with salt and fry on high flame until veg are cooked  . 
  •  Add all the sauces  and masalas  and fry until tastes blend
  • Add cooked noodles.( cook the noodles in a boiling water with salt and oil for few min, when noodle is cooked strain the noodles and wash it with cool water to stop cooking and avoid  become soggy).
  • Mix well with sauce and serve in coriander on top.( Can add pepper and basil on top)





Tips
  Avoid  chili and add Black pepper.
