Ingredients
Potatoes 4 nos
Chopped onion 1 cup(1 small onion)
Turmeric A pinch( optional)
Red chili 4 no
Jeera 1 tsp
Urad dal 1 tsp
Mustard 1 tsp
Grounded coconut 1 tsp(optional)
Grounded coconut 1 tsp(optional)
Curry leaves few
Salt 1/2 tsp
Oil 3 tsp
Asafoetida.
For Seasoning
Mustard
Jeera
Urad dal
Curry leaves
Method
- In a hot pan heat the oil add Mustard, jeera , Dal, curry leaves and red chili.(Always use Non stick pan when working with potatoes.)
- Add chopped Onion and fry till it becomes translucent then add boiled potatoes with little salt..
- Cut the potatoes into halves and boil them with little salt.
- Peel the skin and mash them without any lumps. and add to the cooked onion.
- Saute until chili 's spicy, salt and flavour mixes ,when u find potatoes sticking to the pan turn off the heat and serve hot.
