Cabbage Carrot poriyal

Cabbage Carrot Poriyal is a colorful and a healthy daily food that is eye catching and mouth watering its a few ingredient fix recipe.

Serving for4

Ingredients

Cabbage                 1/4( dont measure  cut cabbage as it shrinks or )
Carrot                     1 no( peeled and cubed)
Turmeric                 A pinch
Red chili                  4 no
Jeera                       1 tsp
Uard dal                   1 tsp
Mustard                   1 tsp
Grounded coconut    1 tsp
Curry leaves            few
Salt                          1/2 tsp
Oil                             3 tsp
Asafoetida.

For Seasoning

Mustard
Jeera
Urad dal
Curry leaves     
 
Method      

  • In a hot pan  heat the oil add Mustard, jeera , dal, curry leaves and red chilli.
  • Add chopped veg    with tumeric and little salt.
  • When partly cooked  add   little water and cook covered.
  • When cabbage and carrot  is completly cooked add coconut  and stir to coat the mixture  then cook for few seconds until water gets evaporated and serve hot
